There are many types of stomach cancers, most of which form a tumour or ulcer in the inner lining of the stomach. In the early stages, the cancer usually stays within the stomach lining or stomach wall but it can spread into neighbouring organs.

Symptoms
Loss of appetite/weight
Persistent stomach pain
Heartburn
Loss of appetite
Vomiting
Loss of blood - vommitting/stool
Difficulty swallowing
Anaemia/Tiredness
Swelling or a lump in the stomach area

Diagnosis
A lump can sometimes be felt in the abdomen, but other tests are always needed.
